Action & Words

So this image goes perfect with how I feel about Christians, especially preachers, and the Gospel.

In the South we talk about the Gospel all the time and tell people they can be Saved by the Gospel. Saved from Hell. Scot McKnight says that we should identify these people as Salvationists.

We are all too often trying to tell people they can be Saved from Hell with the Gospel, when we should be modeling to people how to Live the Gospel.

Actions speak louder than words. Actions are appreciated more than words. Actions are respected more than words. Actions are better teaching tools than words. Actions are stronger than words. Actions are more impactful than words. Actions are more loving than words. Actions are more than words.

I know the irony of using words to make this point.

Normally though Christians use and are taught to utilize words to share the Gospel. Let’s lead with actions. Gospel actions.
