Faces of Famine


Famine is such a huge issue for 100s of Millions, but yet in my house we throw out leftover food. I saw this series of photos today that really impacted my thoughts and prayers on famine. Thinking through actions now.

At the Hagadera stabilization center, acutely malnourished children, infants, pregnant women, and new mothers receive food fortified with micronutrients.

One-and-a-half-year-old Abdi Awow Abdullah is being discharged from the stabilization center only sixdays after he arrived in critical condition. “He has come back to life,” Kigora said.

It is amazing how people are literally brought back from the dead with what is so little.
