Praise God for bringing us Jones.
Yesterday ended our 6 month waiting period for finalizing the adoption.
For the past 6 months we have had physical custody, but legal custody remained with Bethany Christian Services. This protects the child and allows Bethany to quickly take back any child deemed to be in a bad situation with the adopting families.
We have passed all the check points and have been cleared for finalization.
We are hoping to finalize as early as this coming Monday. In Memphis, the adoptions are finalized on Monday mornings. So if we can get in, it will all go down June 1st. If not, maybe the 8th.
