Clean Memphis

My neighborhood was blessed with about 40 volunteers this morning who partnered with some neighbors to take a few hours to clean-up Uptown.

Clean Memphis is a new Organization in Memphis that is dedicated “To Restore Our City to the Cleanest City in the Country.” If you live here, you know that is a tall order, but what is exciting is, with enough momentum, it could be done.

The director, Janet Boscarino, brought 40 volunteers from Regions bank to our neighborhood this morning. The people from Regions were great. Many brought their kids and they all were sporting smiles. Janet had four simultaneous projects going on around the city this morning. It was exciting to hear about all the volunteers and the different projects.

  • Great post. I have already sign up for a volunteer and might lead a clean team in the November to clean a portion of the Wolf River.
